ULTRON Selected for Taipower ADR Energy-Saving Pilot Program
ULTRON is proud to announce its successful participation in the 2024 summer and autumn pilot of Taipower’s Automated Demand Response (ADR) energy-saving program. Through this collaboration, users of the ULTRON platform were able to directly contribute to national energy efficiency efforts—while earning electricity bill savings in the process.
Working with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the primary technical coordinator for Taipower's ADR initiative, ULTRON completed seamless integration between its cloud platform and ADR systems. During peak demand periods, ULTRON users who opted in to the program received real-time notifications via the ULTRON App. The platform then temporarily adjusted connected devices—such as switching air conditioners to fan mode or turning them off for one hour—before automatically restoring their original settings.
Importantly, participants retained full control of their devices throughout the event. Users could override or adjust their air conditioning at any time, ensuring that daily routines were never compromised.
This successful demonstration not only highlights ULTRON’s advanced cloud-based device control capabilities, but also showcases the strength of its Open API architecture. ULTRON’s flexible IoT integration allows energy service providers and platform partners to build mission-specific applications that respond in real time to dynamic energy scenarios.
“We’re honored to support Taipower’s ADR initiative with ULTRON’s scalable IoT infrastructure,” said Aaron Chueh, CEO of ULTRON.
“It’s a great example of how open, adaptive cloud platforms can drive practical energy innovation.”
ULTRON remains committed to helping users and partners unlock new value at the intersection of smart living and sustainable energy.
From intelligent control to energy integration, ULTRON continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
